Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Nagpur Venue collects, why, who it is shared with, and your rights.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
What we collect
- Enquiries and quote requests: your name, mobile number, optional email, event type and date, guest count, budget, area, message, and whether you agreed to share your contact details with businesses (with the version of the consent wording you saw).
- Accounts (when available): the details you provide to sign in and manage your plans.
- Removal and correction requests: your name, contact details, your connection to the business and your message.
- Technical data: your IP address and basic request details, used to keep the service secure, prevent spam and limit abuse.
- Planner and chat questions: the text you type is used to answer you. It is not used to identify you.
Why we use it
- To send your enquiry to the business you chose, or to suggest suitable businesses for a general enquiry.
- To reply to you, follow up on your enquiry and improve the service.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam, fraud and misuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
Sharing with businesses
Your name, mobile number and email are shared with a business only if you tick the consent box on the enquiry form. If you leave it unticked, the business sees your requirements but not your contact details. We record when and with which wording you gave consent. We do not sell your personal data.
Your browser
Your shortlist and compare list are stored in your own browser (local storage) so they work without an account. They are not sent to us unless you ask for listing details. You can clear them at any time from the shortlist page or your browser settings.
How long we keep data
We keep enquiry and account data for as long as it is needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see below).
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent you have given, and raise a grievance. Withdrawing consent does not affect sharing that already happened with your consent. To make a request, use our contact page.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored on secured servers with restricted access. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach that affects you, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Listings compiled from public information
Some business listings are compiled from the business's own published contact details (its website or official social page). Such listings say so on the page. A business can claim, correct or remove its listing using the request form.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest version above.
